Negative Health Effects of Low Carb Diets

Many studies have shown that Low Carb Diets do result in weight loss, and in most cases provide better results than Low Fat Diets. While very effective, the Negative Health Effects of Low Carb Diets can’t be ignored.

When you go on a strict Low Carb Diet your body becomes starved of carbohydrates. In the long term this can result in a Metabolic Disorder known as ‘Ketosis’. If you develop Ketosis, it will leave you with no energy, sluggish, tired and lethargic. The Negative Health Effects of Ketosis seem to be reversed by just eating high carb foods once again. While this reverses the negative effects, all the weight that was lost will most likely return once you start eating high carb foods again.

While the full extent of the Negative Effects of Ketosis are still being researched, some studies have shown that apart from low energy levels, people on low carb diets didn’t perform as well doing higher order mental tasks.

To reduce or negate any of the Negative Health Effects of Low Carb Diets, moderation and regular exercise should be considered. An alternative to a strict low carb or low calorie diet would be something like a Calorie Shifting Diet.

While a Low Carb Diet has been proven to work, the long term Negative Health Effects should be taken into consideration. If you do decide on a diet like this it would be a good idea to consult a medical professional before doing so.

How to Build A Sales Pulling Magnet

1319935535 82 How to Build A Sales Pulling Magnet useful tools upfront e mail address

When it comes to running an online business, one of the most useful tools you can have in your arsenal is a capture page. A simple addition to any website, a capture page allows you to sign up potential customers that may not be ready to order from you right now, but may well want to order from you in the future.

Setting up an effective capture page requires a little work upfront, but once it’s set up, it can continue to bring you regular, new customers on an ongoing basis.

Tools Needed

The first thing you’ll need to do is set up an Autoresponder account. Once you’ve created your account, you will then follow the instructions provided to set up your first campaign. You’ll need to decide what information you want to collect on your signup page.

If you take a look at most capture pages, they usually just ask for name and e-mail address. however, depending on how you intend to keep in touch with your subscribers, you can ask for more information such as their phone number.

Depending on which autoresponder service you choose you might be able to edit the look of your signup box while setting it up, or you may have to edit it afterwards in an HTML editor. (Don’t panic. It’s very easy to edit. I know. I’ve done it. )

Some autoresponder services give you the option of creating either ‘single optin’ or ‘double optin’. You’ll hear various pros and cons for both. there are a few benefits of using double optin:

  • Less risk of spam complaints – very important for keeping your autoresponder account in good standing.
  • Makes sure the subscriber really does want to get your information.
  • Ensures the subscribers use a valid e-mail address

The only downside really is that some people won’t confirm. It’s up to you which option you choose. Personally, I use both, depending on the niche, and haven’t noticed much difference with either option.

Once you have created the signup box, you’ll be presented with some code which you need to insert into your capture page. you can create your capture page using a free website building service such as Weebly.com or you can use a HTML editor on your computer.

NVU offers a free HTML editor which is very easy to use. there are also some easy to follow NVU tutorials on YouTube so you can be up and using it in no time at all.

A capture page however is no good on it’s own. you also need to create your ‘thank you’ page. This is where the subscriber is going to end up once they’ve been added to your list. you can include the url to your thank you page / download directly within your optin code, or you can e-mail the link to them in your first message.

Depending on what it is you are offering as your signup incentive, you can choose to just include it as an attachment in the message. Not all autoresponders allow attachments however, so be sure to check.

Making It Effective

Just because you’ve created a capture page does not mean it’s going to capture subscribers. Sorry to burst your bubble, but on it’s own, it’s worthless.

However, once you have the basic structure set up then making it into a list building magnet is relatively easy.

  1. Know who you want on your list and design your page and your giveaway to attract them and only them.
  2. Don’t overload the page with fancy graphics or high powered sales copy. If your page is too ‘busy’ the call to action can get lost in the middle of it all.
  3. Make sure your optin box is separated from the copy and is ‘above the fold’, (visible as soon as someone lands on the page without having to scroll down).
  4. Capture pages don’t do very well at ranking in the search engines, (not enough content) so build some direct links from forums, related blogs, your own blog, your social media profiles, etc
  5. Tweak and test everything. try changing the headline, the colour, the font, the placement of the optin box… anything and everything is up for testing.
  6. Ask your subscribers to recommend your giveaway to their friends. Hint; make sure your giveaway is something worth recommending!

Just make sure that once you have your potential customers signed up, you don’t lose them by marketing to them too often and bombarding them with spammy promotions which aren’t related to your business. nobody likes spam in their inbox. It’s a sure fire way to turn any potential customer on to your competitors.

Review: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Billets 9mm Special Edition Earphones

1319899536 65 Review: Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Billets 9mm Special Edition Earphones rubber cable ndfeb magnets magnetic fasteners magnet components earphones

[Full disclosure: a pair of Munitio earphones was made available to me for the purpose of this review.]

The Munitio call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Billets 9mm Special Edition Earphones look cool. But, lots of things look awesome. do they deliver on their promise of serving sound on a rockin’ silver platter for your ears? Judging from what they’re made of, I had high hopes for both features, performance and comfort in these babies.

The Munitio call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Billets 9mm Special Edition Earphones are machined out of aircraft-grade billet aluminum. of course, they’re laser etched with the Modern Warfare 3 logo. These earphones have a Kevlar reinforced rubber cable that is very lightweight and durable thanks to this added protective layer. the rubber cable has a good quality 24k gold plated 3.5 mm stereo jack that is compatible with smartphones, MP3 players, laptops and tablets. the earphones come with 9 mm speaker drivers with rare earth neodymium magnets to increase the speakers’ range and performance. for you science nerds, that would be NdFeB magnets that have justifiably become the strongest magnet in industrial use as permanent magnet components in the motors of hard disk drives, cordless tools, magnetic fasteners, etc.

The earphones come with six sets of silicone ear covers called SiloconeHollowPoints.the silicone covers come in small, medium and large. for the busy gamer they have an in-line mic with single button answer and hangup functionality. the box also comes with two earhooks and a compact carrying case.

When testing the earphones, I adapted them in the beginning to my particular needs by selecting the size of silicone covers that fit my ear canal the most comfortably. Sizing the correct silicone ear pod to your ears? Now that’s what I call customization! I tested out the earphones with my iPhone in several public places with high ambient noise. the performance was excellent. I found that the silicone ear covers acted as noise insulating covers that reduced the environmental din around me in downtown Seattle. I have sensitive hearing, so I appreciated the added noise reduction quality offered by the silicone protective coverings. I did find my self wishing for greater controls on the in-line mic, such as the volume plus and minus buttons and middle pause button of the Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic, but that is really a small feature of convenience to complain about. the sound quality was of the highest quality, both in testing on phone calls and with listening to various kinds of music. I liked the compact design of the earphones, and, of course, their cool sleek look. “Dude, is that like, the Modern Warfare logo laser etched, like, on the back of your in-line mic? Dude!”

These are cool earphones that are still moderately priced for such excellent performance and customized comfort. okay, so the sound was great. the comfort factor was the final hurdle that I always face in trying earphones, and the soft silicone padding happily dispensed with my usual ear aches that occur with the long term wearing of in-ear earphones.

Call of Duty fans can pre-order their call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Billets 9mm Special Edition Earphones now from Best Buy, GameStop and MUNITIO.com/MW3Billets. the Modern Warfare 3 Billets were available October 23 for $89.99. MUNITIO will also be releasing Winter and Battle Gray versions of the headphones as part of the Billets 9mm tactical earphone line, available exclusively at their website and its electronics partners.

If these earphones take your breath away as they did mine, check out the entire awesome line of MUNITIO products at their site.

Developer dumps UK waste power plant

* Councils decided against selling waste to one large plant

* decision unrelated to UK state subsidy cut for energy fromwaste

LONDON, Oct (KOSDAQ: 039200.KQ – news) 24 (Reuters) – A UK subsidiary of U.S.energy-from-waste company Covanta Holding Corp (NYSE: CVA – news) . hasscrapped plans to build a 400 million pound waste-fired powerplant in Wales, which would have created 100 full-time jobs, thecompany said on Monday.

“The local authorities have adopted a fragmented approach(not a national approach) to dealing with residual waste,” saidMalcolm Chilton, managing director of Covanta’s Europeanbusiness, in a letter to Britain’s planning body.

“This makes the current proposal for the plant unviable.”

the Brig y Cwm power plant would have collected 750,000tonnes of non-recyclable household and business waste from thesouthern Wales area per year and was expected to have a powerproduction capacity of 67 megawatts (MW), enough to power twolocal county boroughs.

Covanta Energy decided to drop the project after local Welshauthorities decided to sell non-recyclable waste to smallerfacilities across the country, rather than one large station, aspokesman said.

“It’s a shame the project isn’t going ahead. the heatproduced at the plant would have acted as a magnet for otherbusinesses in the area,” he said.

He added Covanta Energy’s decision had nothing to do withthe fact the government last week proposed to halve statesubsidies for combined heat and power plants generating energyfrom waste.

the Welsh project would have created around 650 jobs duringconstruction and 100 full-time jobs during its operation, according to Covanta Energy.

Two weeks ago Britain’s Infrastructure planning Commissionapproved Covanta Energy’s 65-MW energy-from-waste plant atRookery in Bedfordshire. (Reporting by Karolin Schaps; editing by Jason Neely)
