you don't really need any but if you are just use a little axle grease. but the antifreeze will just disolve it anyway so don't worry. bearings and seals need grease, not springs. i wouldn't grease it. if it's new don't worry about it

WD40 will work, though it will wear off quickly. You'll want to look more into something along the lines of white lithium grease.
