LifeStyles Condoms GIVEAWAY: STD Awareness Month
THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED. CONGRATULATIONS TO WINNERS DANIELLE W AND MITCHELL B.
Spring is in the air…and so is love. Spring Fever tends to get people in the mood for more than sun. LifeStyles Condoms’ sales index support this notion, with a spike in sales during the mid-spring and summer months, proving that as the weather heats up, so does the action in the bedroom. Yipee!!
Luckily, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) designated April as STD Awareness Month, an annual observance to raise awareness about the impact of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) on the health of Americans and the importance of individuals discussing sexual health with their healthcare providers and, if sexually active, their partners.
Mandatory Entry: you must follow @ByondBlckBeauty on Twitter and/or like Beyond Black Beauty on Facebook.
This contest is open to all residents of the U.S. and will close on Tuesday, April 19 at 11:59 pm EST. I will announce the winner on Wednesday, April 20. the winner will be chosen at random and notified via e-mail.
Should I buy an electric shaver or epilady device? Where can I find objective reviews on the Net?
I agree. Neither one works very well. you could go tot he "Consumer Reports" website and see what they have to say if you want a more objective opinion.
Only use an epilady if you like pain considering it pulls the hair out by the roots. I would just use some Nair instead of shaving.
If you can get though the pain of an epilady device to start with, it will work better for you in the long run, you wont have to use it as often as an electric shaver and the hair that returns will be a lot softer and pull out easier.
it depends weather you want to shave or rip your hair out by the roots!
the epiladys do hurt, but once you've done it once or twice it becomes bearable and the results last longer. the regrowth is finer so occasionally, you don't get it all and need to shave to keep it in check, but its much much smoother and you can go for ages without really worrying about it! It took some will power to get used to it but its definitely worth it.
I don't really know where youcan find reviews, but, from expierence, niether one works very well!

I bought an epilady-type device and now I don't have much hair growth on my legs anymore. and my underarms have stopped producing hair.
The only thing is, if you don't really exfoliate your legs well, you'll get ingrown hairs. So be sure to really scrub your legs. It's worth it. no shaving/epiladying for weeks and weeks.
Honest opinions on my writing? I'm thinking of using it for a writing compition.?
The room that once seemed so bright and so full of life, now seemed like a cage to me thanks to the dark clouds that hovered thick in the sky. it was only the beginning of September and already, the weather matched the sour attitudes of teenagers getting prepared for the start of school. No more parties, no more freedom. Lucky for me, that change wouldn't be so drastic.
My eyes shut as I tried to enjoy my last day of relaxation. That task became harder as loud taps on my window broke my beloved silence. a frustrated groan escaped my lips as my hand reached behind me to grab a remote to a dusty silver stereo that sat on an old wooden shelf. With my eyes still pressed shut, I pressed the power button letting the quiet music pour from my speakers. if I was the same girl I used to be, I would have blasted the volume by now. I would have danced my heart out, making up moves as I went along. since my singing voice could deafen anyone within a ten mile radius, I'd mouth the words while beads of sweat dripped down my face and neck. the rapid pounding of my heart would eventually hurt so bad I'd have to stop. but then the moment I could breathe again, I'd start the music back up. Unfortunately, that was the past. I was no longer the girl that danced to relieve her everyday stresses. Ironically, those stresses had been intensified to the point of unbearable anxiety and the relief I used to turn too wasn't an option for me.
The only option I had was one I didn't necessarily want to comply too, but had to, seeing as there was no other choice. just sit there and do absolutely nothing. Doing nothing was the only thing my summer consisted of. Hiding away in my bedroom. Hiding away from the judgmental – or worse- pitiful eyes of those who saw me, was my daily routine. it was one I was somewhat at ease with. I didn't have to worry about my friends seeing me weak and vulnerable because I avoided them long enough for them to decide I wasn't worth it. the phone would ring daily, I'd ignore it. the phone would only ring once every week, I let it go. Soon there were no missed calls and my voicemail was always empty. even my parents knew to leave me alone. I was always alone and that's the way I liked it. but the comfort of confinement could only last so long.
Tomorrow morning the sun would rise and I'd be forced to face what I've been constantly avoiding. the world. it was my first day as a Junior so I should have been excited. after all, the first day back marked a new beginning. Needless to say, excitement was the furthest thing from what I felt. Besides, I didn't want a new beginning. My life before was never near perfect, but compared to how it'd be now, I would do anything to get it back. I knew and prepared myself for what was coming but I knew from experience, you don't feel the impact of something until you've experienced it head on.
I couldn't help but smirk at my ironic joke. even though it wasn't funny, it was true. I laid my head on my pillow and shut my eyes. a knock on my door startled me. My eyes snapped open to see Austin walking over to my bed. He took a seat on the end of my bed, carefully avoiding my legs.
I rolled my eyes. even he was treating me different.
"Show not tell"
This means you should explain the story as it happens rather than narrating everything.
And my honest opinion was: I thought it was boring. but… it was written well. I mean, if the writing competition is looking for sentence fluency and well written work, you definitely have a shot!
However, if they're looking more along the lines of plot and excitement, I don't know. the beginning of writing should have a hook that draws your readers in.
But I don't see anything else that would need improving other than "show not tell." very good overall!
Help with mine? Thanks!
